Unlock your Brain’s Potential
Neurofeedback, also referred to as EEG Biofeedback and Brain Training, is a painless, non-invasive, learning strategy that enables people to change the activity of their brains so they can be free from unpleasant symptoms and function at their best. It is a technique used to assist individuals in achieving better self regulation of mental, emotional, and physical states of being. Neurofeedback does not treat symptoms or conditions, but it addresses issues related to patterns of dysregulation in the nervous system that can lead to symptoms including mood fluctuations, focus and attention challenges, emotional and behavioral disturbances, various sleep issues, headaches & other pain experiences, hormone imbalances, and other mervous system symptoms that cause disturbances. This cutting edge approach has applications to Business, Education, Sports, and the Performing Arts, as it improves the overall performance and functioning of an individual.
The process of Neurofeedback brain training involves placing sensors on the scalp at specific locations that correspond with the targeted area of concern. These sensors pick up the signals from the brain waves and these patterns are processed by the computer and amplified so they can be displayed on a computer screen. As the client observes the ebb and flow of their own brain activity, the brain makes adjustments to produce more regulated neural patterns. This begins to move the brain toward more desirable states which lend to overall regulation & improved function.
Neurofeedback offers hope for many people who’s experiences arise because their brain is not working as well as it might. Individuals who have experienced trauma, for example, may seek therapy but find there are blocks to personal resolution because you can’t talk to the part of the brain that’s been traumatized. If a person is locked in Fight or Flight, they will not be able to learn from the various approached to treatment that exist until the nervous system is better regulated. Anyone with trauma or attachment wounds should seek Neurofeedback brain training either concurrently with other therapies or prior to engaging in other modalities for maximum effectiveness.
In addition to emotional and behavioral disruptions, sleep patterns leading to teeth grinding, and snoring can be improved, allowing the body and mind to rest appropriately, resulting in increased energy and alertness. Mood fluctuations can be stabilized using this learning method. The experience of pain can also be managed effectively, and attention and focus and other learning challenges can be greatly reduced. Neurofeedback also offers some relief from compulsive behaviors and addictive habits including eating, substance abuse, impulse shopping, and gambling, as a regulated nervous system is less inclined to seek out rewards through these often debilitating habits and a client would have a better sense of self controlled, and sometimes cab extinguish some of the throughs and behaviors completely using this method.
Neurofeedback is an excellent compliment to Personal & Professional Development, and is a cost-effective, natural alternative to achieving your health goals, often reducing the need for habit forming medications and invasive medical procedures. Neurofeedback gets long lasting, often permanent results, and is ideal for anyone looking to maximize his or her performance potential.
